provide me with a plagiarism report instruction and question is attached below follow the instructions give reference 4-page minimum.

QUESTION

This response will focus on musical references in popular music. Students should select either song lyrics or an album cover and analyze the religious content. This can build on what you posted in the discussion question OR it can deal with an entirely different example - the choice is up to you!

As with all other reading responses, you will need to use a scholarly articles (at least 2) to support your analysis. You might consider any of the following questions in your response: How is religion presented in the song/album cover? Is there a positive or negative viewpoint? Does it appear as though the artist identifies with a particular religious tradition? How are certain ideas/images appropriated and perhaps altered to suit the message of the song/image? How might the depiction deviate from 'normative' or traditional understandings of a particular religious tradition?

Your discussion can focus on other issues as well but these are just a few examples of questions you will want to consider.

Reading Responses Instructions

RLGN 1450: Religion & Media

Assignment: Students will submit a total of 2 reading responses during this course - one at the end of two modules of your choosing. Please see the course syllabus for exact due dates. Each reading reflection should be a minimum of 4 pages (double-spaced) and should include the following components: a brief recap of the main points of that particular module, personal critical reflections and analysis, and the use of at least two other scholarly sources (NOT from the class readings). The minimum length of 4 pages does NOT include a title page or bibliography (which should be separate pages).

The recap may include a brief summary of the module as a whole OR it may focus on one specific topical unit . Additionally, the summary should be relatively short and concise as the critical reflections are the most important component of this assignment. Students may wish to address the following questions: How do specific forms of media (articles, internet sites, TV shows, movies, or music) portray specific religion traditions? Are these portrayals accurate or do they reflect common stereotypes? How do religious traditions employ different forms of media? Is there a political component to these representations?

Grade: Each reading reflection assignment will count for 20% of your total grade and will be marked on the following criteria: concise and accurate summary, quality and insightfulness of the critical analysis, and basic grammar/spelling.

Format: Please format your submission using the following parameters: 12-point new times roman, default margins, and double spaced. Please include a title page with the course number, your name, student number, and assignment title. Also be sure to use in-text citations (MLA, APA, or Chicago are all acceptable) and include a separate bibliography. In-text citations are required for both direct quotes and paraphrased sections where you have included content from a source.

SUGETIONS

Getting Started: Module #1

Step 1 – Select a topic! You can either focus your attention on a specific reading/issue we have examined in class OR you can deal with religion in the media more generally

Step 2 – Summarize some of the main conclusions about your topic that we have discussed in class

Step 3 – Locate two other scholarly sources on your issue using the UofM library webpage. You can do a general search or look specifically at journal articles Find a source that will contribute to your selected topic . Read through the source and explain the main conclusions. Consider the following questions: does your source agree or disagree with the general conclusions you made in step 2? Why or why not?

Step 4 – Critical Analysis: you want to analyze the material and provide your own critique. Here you will want to use at least one or two specific media examples to support your discussion and analysis explain how they reflect your conclusions from steps 2 and 3). Here you could discuss specific stereotypes that you outlined in step 2 but expand on why they are problematic (ie. determine/influence viewer opinions) or how they can be inaccurate.

*You are welcome to use the scholarly articles we have used in class but you must find at least TWOs additional scholarly articles or books for these assignments.

Letter Grade Rubric:

A+ (95%-100%)

A reading response in this category will be exceptional. It will be insightful, demonstrate an excellent understanding of the source materials and have outstanding organization, structure, and grammar/style. There should be no errors in citation formatting and the a response in this category will also use an excellent academic source and engage with those sources at a high level.

A (86%-94%)

A reading response in this category will be very well done. It will provide both clear description or the issues and insightful analysis using evidence from the academic source. There should be almost no grammatical or stylistic errors and the paper will have good flow, organization and citation style should be consistence and correct.

B+ (80%-85%)

A reading response in this category will be quite well done. The descriptive content should be clear and the analysis should be engaged with the academic source. The level of sophistication will be slightly lower than an 'A' paper but should still demonstrate a clear understanding of the source material. Papers in this category should also use relevant examples in the analytical portions. Grammatical and stylistic errors will be at a minimum.

B (71%-79%)

A reading response in this category will be well done. The paper may not be as sophisticated as a 'B+' or may border on descriptive and lack a sustained analysis. The organization and structure should be good but improvements could be made. There may be a few grammatical and stylistic errors throughout and citation formatting should be relatively accurate. Sources used will be relevant but again, there may be room for improvement in this area.

C+ (65%-70%)

A reading response in this category will be satisfactory and meet the basic requirements of the assignment. The paper might be more descriptive than analytical and there might also be structural/organizational issues with the essay. The source materials may be good but the engagement with them in the response could be improved.

C (56%-64%)

A reading response in this category will be sufficient but there are significant issues with some of the following categories: use of sources, analysis, organization, citation style, grammar/style.

D (50%-55%)

A reading response in this category will not really be the requirements of the assignment but an attempt has been made. The response does not meet the length requirements, number of sources, or have a clear analytical component. Sufficient use of and engagement with source materials is not evident in the paper.

F (Less than 50%)

There is no attempt to meet the requirements of the assignment. Or there is a serious issue with plagiarism.
