Page 1 of 2 Word Module 1 Assignment (15 points possible, -2 each error/omission) For this assignment you will be making a document summarizing reminders to employees of a school on what needs done before winter break. Steps to Perform: Step Instructions 1 Download and open the Word Module 1_Data File .docx . Save the file as Word Module 1_YourLastNam e. docx. Do not type .docx in the file name ; the application will do that for you . 2 Change the document theme to Organic, theme colors to Blue, and theme fonts to Office. 3 Select the first paragraph in the document, (the text Winter Break: ), bold it, change the font color to Blue color of your choice. Change Font size to 44. 4 Format the second paragraph Maintenance Reminders as bold and the text effect: small caps. (Small Caps, not lowercase) 5 Select the paragraph Note to supervisors: Please post a hard copy of this reminder on the bulletin board in the coffee room. and highlight it in yellow. 6 Select most of the document beginning with the HVAC Schedule paragraph and ending with the [email protected] email link, and apply the following formats: a) a line spacing of 1.15 b) paragraphs as Justify , and c) paragraph spacing after of 6 pt d) change font size to 14 pt 7 Select the paragraph below the heading HVAC Schedule and set a right and left indent of 0.5”. Center the text. Apply a bottom and then a top border to the paragraph. Next, shade the paragraph a blue color of your choice , make sure the shading isn’t too dark and that text can be read easily . 8 Apply Heading 1 to HVAC Schedule and Reminders . (Reminders is located on the second page of the document) 9 Apply Heading 2 to Dorms, Academic Buildings , Administrative Buildings , General Tasks , Break Areas , and Office Spaces and Other Areas . Decrease the indent so the bullets begin at the left margin. Click the Format Painter (Home tab, Clipboard group) twice to activate it. 12 Click the three paragraphs in th e Office Spaces and Other Areas section, starting with Unplug chargers and ending with products from the area . Format with a bullet style of your choice but not a checkmark. 13 Select all text starting from the General Tasks heading to the last bullet Remove any cardboard boxes or flammable products from the area and format the selected text into two columns with a line in -between.
