Please write question and answer

YOUR PROJECT TOPIC: (ABORTION)

DESCRIBE HERE. Please provide at least several sentences to STATE & EXPLAIN your topic.

1st POSSIBLE SOLUTION

1. DESCRIBE SOLUTION #1:

Please provide at least several sentences to STATE & EXPLAIN your topic. Also, be sure to include DETAILS about how your solution would work.

2. Provide REASONS IN SUPPORT of this SOLUTION:

Your reasons need to include at least 1 factual claim and at least 1 moral principle.

Your reasons need to address the following -

  • What reasons can you give for thinking this solution will be EFFECTIVE in addressing at least part of the problem in your topic? This is where factual information will most likely be relevant.

  • Why we MORALLY OUGHT to pursue this solution? Saying that it's the right thing to do or our duty is a fine start; however, you need to say WHY it's the right thing to do or our duty. This is where you need to appeal to at least one moral principle. For example, you can appeal to a utilitarian principle (if so, specify which one) OR to a particular right that's being violated or needs to be pursued (the full text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights/UDHR can be helpful as you discuss what liberty or welfare right is relevant). Likewise, there are many other moral approaches and principles (such as W.D.Ross' Seven Prima Facie Duties, retributive or distributive justice principles), and various forms of virtue ethics, including Aristotlean, Confucian, Buddhist, and ethics of care.) You can find these in the following resources -

You also can use other moral principles not covered in our course. Be sure you don't just say what philosophy or worldview it's from. You also need to state and explain the principle you are using from that philosophy or worldview.

3. Raise an OBJECTION to the argument (the reasoned justification) for this solution:

Imagine what CONCERN another decent, rational individual might have with this solution.

4. RESPOND to the objection:

Provide a REASONED ANSWER to that concern regarding this solution.

2nd POSSIBLE SOLUTION

1. DESCRIBE SOLUTION #2:
