Compare and contrast your peer’s personality trait to that of your own.How are they similar? How are they different?Given the trait they chose, their choice of P.R.I.C.E. element, and their selected so

Chantelle,

Choose a personality trait of yours and explain why you chose that strength.

I chose reliable because being part of the team and showing up is important to employers when filling positions. They want to fill the position with someone who is going to be there for some time not with employees who come and go like a revolving door. Reliability is one of the most desirable personality traits deemed by employers(Settembrino, 2022).

Discuss how that personality trait reflects the P.R.I.C.E. elements of success.

In order to display the elements of the P.R.I.C.E model, reliability has to be in your top personality traits. To be present for your employer allows you to be able to demonstrate the elements with ease. Reliability goes hand and hand with consistency, being consistent may even put you in the front door for advancement.

Describe the soft skills that are related to the chosen trait.

Time management being able to get many things done within a certain period of time. Communication being able to actively communicate and knowing when to speak versus when to listen. As well as teamwork, being reliable isn’t just a one man job the entire team has to work on this individually in order for the team to stay close knit.

Explain how you plan to use the elements of P.R.I.C.E. and the soft skills you have chosen, to sell that personality trait

Since reliability is a personality trait that employers from any organization is looking for in a candidate, that would be what I would start with. Showing my long employment history of staying at one job for many years at a time will be a positive. As well as being able to provide good references from my previous managers.

Valeria,

One professional trait that I consider a professional strength is my efficiency. Efficiency is largely defined by lowering expenditure while increasing productivity or profit. In my opinion, efficiency is about extracting the greatest value from an experience for the benefit of all involved. I strive to maximize my time and effort to be as productive, complete, and prompt as possible. Prioritizing efficiency, without sacrificing quality or completeness, exemplifies professionalism by reflecting mastery of one’s profession. When interfacing with patients, striving for efficiency in this way demonstrates a respect for patients’ time. It demands that you can anticipate their needs and values, which is also an extension of care and engagement.

Some soft skills that are related to efficiency include active listening, multitasking, time management, critical and creative thinking, planning and organization, and attention to detail (Adekanmbi & Ukpere, 2023).

Companies and organizations value the ability to increase productivity while lowering expenditures, but never at the expense of quality or care. Efficiency, as a goal, should encompass not only cost reduction and productivity gains but also a commitment to delivering high-quality services that align with patient values. Using the P.R.I.C.E. model and the soft skills listed, I plan to sell efficiency as the key to unlocking and increasing value throughout the patient care experience.
