Organizational Behavior and Comparative Management

There are two parts to this assignment. First, consider an organization that you are associated with or have been associated with in the past. Begin with an introduction in which you explain the concept of organizational behavior. Then, in essay format, discuss the following:


  • Describe the nature of the organization.

  • Provide an example of organizational behavior you were aware of in your chosen organization.

  • Analyze the impact of factors that contributed to organizational behavior in your example. Use a minimum of one external peer-reviewed or academic resources to support your analysis.


This first part of your essay should be two pages in length.


For the second part of your essay, assume you have been hired to lead a diverse work team within that same organization. Your new team is comprised of individuals with several different ethnic backgrounds, ages, and skill levels. You have been asked you to submit a leadership plan that addresses the potential for organizational challenges and opportunities. You must show that you have a solid understanding of behavioral concepts and specific organizational behaviors within your organization. Write a plan that addresses how you will lead your team with regard to these behavioral concepts:


  • challenges of stress in the work environment,

  • challenges of employee burnout, and

  • opportunities for increasing productivity.


You must use a minimum of three peer-reviewed or academic resources within the last 3 years to support the rationale for why you are making certain decisions in each area. Properly cited statistics may be used to support your responses.


The second part of your essay must be a minimum of three pages in length.


The combined page requirement of five pages does not include title or reference pages. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this essay, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.
