Organizational Behavior and Comparative Management

A variety of industries, especially those that have globalized, have unique problems that come with failing to understand the wide scope and implications of diversity. For this assignment, you must locate a peer-reviewed journal article on a diversity dilemma. It must have been published in the last 10 years and be focused on an organization or industry that is struggling due to a lack of diversity.

As mentioned in the unit lesson, there are a vast number of diversity characteristics. You are encouraged to seek out a diversity dilemma that focuses on characteristics other than race or gender.

Once you have selected your article, write an essay analyzing the dilemma. Address the following at a minimum:

  • Define diversity.

  • Define the specific diversity characteristic(s) that apply in this dilemma.

  • Provide an overview of the dilemma presented in your chosen research article.

  • Address how diversity training can be tailored to this organization or industry to specifically address the issue.

  • Do you think diversity training ultimately would be effective? If so, what about it makes it effective? If not, what would you do to improve diversity outcomes in organizations?

  • What management strategies could be implemented to make diversity a cultural benefit within this organization? Your assignment should be a minimum of three pages in length, not counting the title and references pages..

Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.
