This assignment has two parts.


Part 1: In the first part of this assignment, you will examine the components of a concept paper/prospectus and identify three organizational problems that you may consider for your doctoral research study/dissertation. Address the questions below for each of the three organizational problems.


  • Explain the difference between a prospectus form and a proposal.

  • How does the organizational problem relate to real-world issues within an organization?

  • How could research study results potentially solve the organizational problem identified?

  • What is the potential method and design for this organizational problem?


Conclude your assignment with a paragraph that examines the components of a concept paper/prospectus by categorizing your responses to the three prompts above to the component you think would best fit.


This part of your assignment should be at least two pages in length. Reference at least two sources.



Part 2: The theoretical framework is the blueprint for your dissertation. The theoretical framework you choose will serve as the foundation of your study. For the second part of this assignment, choose three theories or models that could be used as a foundation for a study related to your organizational problem. Address the prompts below for each theory or model you choose.


  • Who is the creator of the theory, and when was it created?

  • Explain how each theory could be used as a foundation for the organizational problem you plan to examine/explore in your dissertation.

  • Choose one of the theories and justify why you believe it is the best foundational theory for your dissertation.


This part of your assignment should be at least three pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. Use at least three sources, one of which may be the eTextbook. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that you use. Please note that no abstract is required.
