  1. Principles of Accounting

Top of Form

If you were the accountant at your current (or former) place of employment, would you prefer to use static or flexible budgeting? Explain your rationale and the factors that drive your choice.

Your journal entry must be at least 200 words in length and at least one source from the CSU Online Library should be used. Adhere to APA format when creating citations and references for this journal assignment.

  1. Ethics

As we have learned by examining various contemporary issues, ethics are a mix of opinion and fact. Where you fall on a topic is of course, up to you (opinion). Whether, for example, a belief is consistent depends on the definition of consistency (fact or critical thinking element). When dealing with an ethical problem, the idea is to use both to arrive at the best conclusion to determine the best course of action. Keeping this information in mind, please fully address parts I & II below to complete the final journal for this class.

Part I: As you know, humans can never be 100% unbiased. Does this mean criminals sentenced to death by a jury or judge do not get a fair trial? Explain your answer.

Part II: Can you put a price on human life? Is it consistent to believe life is priceless and condone capital punishment at the same time? Explain your answers.

Your journal entry must be at least 400 words (200 words for each part) in length. No references or citations are necessary.

Top of Form

The purpose of this journal entry is for you to evaluate concepts you learned in Professionalism in the Workplace, including discussion of how you would prepare to interview for a new position using all that you have learned in the course thus far.

Now that you have pulled together your resume package, for your final journal entry in this course, you will first assess at least one course concept that stood out for you and describe how it helped you become a better professional in the workplace.

Second, you will discuss how the course helped you specifically prepare to interview for a new job or organizational position, including the following:

    1. Describe three ways to prepare for an interview.

    2. Discuss three different types of interview questions and provide tips for answering them.

    3. Describe two ways to close the interview, concluding with an explanation of how to follow up post-interview.

Your journal entry should be at least three well-developed paragraphs and sources used, if any, must be cited in APA, but they are not required.

  1. Macroeconomics

Reflect on the concepts covered in the second half of this course and respond to the following questions:

  • Explain what the consumption function shows and describe what is held constant along the consumption function.

  • Describe what happens when firms and workers underestimate future prices in the economy. Focus your answer on what would happen to actual output as opposed to the expected potential output.

Your response must be at least 200 words in length. No references or citations are required, but if any are used, they must be cited and referenced in APA Style.

  1. English

You have almost completed English Composition I; take a moment to congratulate yourself! In as much as reflection is a genre, it is also one of the most important actions of the writing process. Writing a reflection does not mean that you focus only on what you would have changed or what you may have failed at doing; instead, a reflection should be a holistic assessment of an experience so that you can apply those lessons to the next experience.

You have written two essays for this course. Please reflect upon your experience in English Composition I by addressing the following questions. You do not have to address all of them or address them in order. Your reflection must be at least 200 words in length.

What was your most successful essay in this course? You may want to judge that based upon your instructor’s assessment, but it would be more beneficial for you to base this upon what you feel is your best work. What was it that made this essay so successful for you?

What kinds of elements do you consider when thinking about what makes a successful essay? After listing some of those attributes, how does your most successful essay match up with these elements? In what ways does it fall short?

What would you have done differently when writing the essay you deemed less successful than the other? In thinking about what you would have changed, did you really have the opportunity to make that change at the time? Why, or why not?

What have you learned about the writing process? Are you able to more clearly recognize or define your own writing process?

What was your favorite thing that we did in the course? Why? What was the least appealing thing we did in the course? Why? What revisions would you suggest for this course to make it more impactful?

Think about Part III of the discussion board in Unit I that asked you to consider your greatest strengths and weaknesses as a writer and to anticipate the greatest challenges you would face in this course. Now that you have completed the class, have your answers to these questions changed? If so, how?
