This assignment allows you to incorporate key principles of career counseling or career planning or career facilitating  at one time. It is designed to be a simulation of the career counseling, planning or facilitation experience.

You have been asked to deliver a presentation to middle school students, or high school students, or adults in transition, or parents at a church,  or displaced workers in a community center or mental health clients at a mental health facility who desire to return to work.  Your topic is the chapter that you selected from the textbook.

***Many times mental health facilities and other businesses use the presentations as  a marketing tool to identify potential clients or customers.  The presentation can be used as a means of recruitment.

***For students majoring in Psychometry, parents and counselors of children with disabilities may want to know if the children can learn work skills to take care of themselves and live independently.

Since we are currently experiencing the impact of Covid-19, many people have been laid off or furloughed or jobs were shut down as a result of stay-at-home orders.  Many people are looking for jobs and are interested in obtaining information on obtaining employment.

Since this presentation is a community service project, you are not charging a fee for this service, so many people will be interested in attending.

** For chapters that do not address a specific group of people seeking employment, then the presenter can decide on the group of people that they would like to deliver career information to.  This must be stated within the PowerPoint presentation.

Use the items below to structure your presentation.  All information in this assignment must be placed within complete sentences.
