A WANTED MAN
Passion for what you do often inspires passion in others to support the shared vision of an organization. Passion can be expressed in numerous ways. A consistent pattern of involvement with the community is one of the primary ways a leader can express his/her passion for what they do and the organization they represent.
As a new principal you have been invited to speak at the meetings of four prominent local civic organizations: Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, and Optimist. You have also been invited to attend the church services of four of the major religious denominations in the community: Methodist, Baptist, Catholic, and Presbyterian.
Before you can respond to the first invitations you are invited to attend the meeting of the local Retired Educators Association, and the meeting of the local chapter of the alumni association for the university from which you received your advanced degree. Additionally, the alumni group meetings of two of the other universities have invited you to attend their meetings, from one of which you received your undergraduate degree.
