The assigned Group Case “Cisco's Vision: A Smart+Connected World” is added in the “Group Case - Final Submission” module on your Moodle course homepage. Each group member must read the case to prepare for the group meetings and draft notes.
A private channel is created for each group, which is accessible only to specific members within a group. Meet with group members in MS Teams, make introductions and familiarize yourself with collaborating within the group environment. Utilize the collaborative Word document (i.e., “working_template” document file provided) as a brainstorming document to insert ideas via comments (per member) and create other files as necessary such as meeting notes (or minutes), task lists (who does what), etc. Create meetings in MS Teams and utilize the recording option. This provides excellent collaboration and software experience.
Use the “working_template” document file as a working document within your group in MS Teams. This is a WORD file that is to be shared with the group members with tracking turned on and left on. The tracking version of the file showing comments must be saved and submitted to the instructor. The template permits group members to add statements to the sections as required. Enter clear concise statements in bulleted and or numbered form as presented in the template. These statements evolve from the brainstorming sessions and group meetings and should be ongoing until the submission date of the analysis. This, with tracking off and changes saved is the core of the final document to be submitted with the addition of the title page, references, and appendix items (A - meeting report, B - Others).
The final submission required a written report with a maximum of 12 pages of content, a title page, and proper sectioning as per the “working_template” file. The WORD “working_template” file will be saved (accepting the changes) with some polishing (formatting, spelling, grammar, etc.) for the main content (body) of the document. Additionally, include a section to incorporate the answers to the questions below.
Explain the challenges of innovating and implementing new technologies on a large scale in this case.
Telepresence is an innovative technology that requires widespread adoption to be truly effective. If you were launching this technology, what strategy would you employ to ensure its ubiquity?
The group meeting log for the work completed should be included in – Appendix A, and the WORD “working_template” file in the raw form will be submitted. The title page, references, and/or appendices are not counted in the page limit. The report must follow the APA format for in-text citations and the reference page, which can be found on Owl.Purdue.com.
It is important to ensure that each member contributes fairly and that all members agree on peer evaluations. Each member is required to submit the peer evaluation form individually by the same deadline as posted above. The “Group Peer Evaluation
Form” can be accessed through Group Peer Evaluation Form.docx. If there's little to no individual input, the final grades for the group case assignment may differ depending on individual contributions. If you intend to submit the final project without including the name of a member who did not contribute, please notify them well in advance, giving them the opportunity to participate and contribute.
PDF (Portable Document Format) format is the only acceptable file type for this Group case assignment FINAL REPORT submission to ensure that all formatting is preserved. Ensure that your submission is well-organized, properly formatted, and free from errors, typos, or grammatical mistakes. Ensure that your file is named in a manner that is easily recognizable and follows the naming convention [CourseCode_Group#number_GroupCase].
Only one group member is responsible for submitting the report and the
“working_template” file on behalf of the entire group through the Moodle course website. Submit your assignment before the designated deadline to ensure that it is considered for grading and to avoid any late penalties. There is a 10% late penalty for each day of delay, including weekends. Submissions will not be accepted for grading after 3 days past the deadline.
