Check when completed

Introduction: Paraphrase the problem statement/business problem you are examining/exploring. Provide an overview of the purpose and organization of Chapter 3. This section should be approximately 2 paragraphs in length.

Statement of the Problem: Restate the problem statement from Chapter 1. Provide a brief background to the study. This section should be approximately 1 paragraph in length.

Research Questions. Includes a discussion of the RQs and phenomenon for qual. This section should be approximately 3 paragraphs in length.

The Research Methodology section includes a discussion of the specific methodology you will be using, a definition (cited), and the justification for your choice. Include a brief introduction to the population; sample; participant selection criteria; how participants will be identified, contacted, and recruited; and the setting. Include the data saturation and de-identification process if you are conducting a qual study. Include the sampling strategy and inclusion/exclusion criteria. If you are conducting a quant study, include a screenshot of the G*power (a priori) analysis to illustrate the minimum sample size needed. This section should be approximately 3 paragraphs in length.

Research Design: Include a rationale, with citations, to support the argument for choosing your research design. A detailed discussion of the data collection methods that will be used and the detailed, step-by-step procedures are included. This section should be approximately 4 paragraphs in length.

Population and Sample Selection: Provide details on the setting, population, sample, sampling strategy, and detailed steps you will take to identify, contact, recruit, and qualify participants. Explain the measures you will take to implement confidentiality and anonymity and obtain informed consent. This section should be approximately 4 paragraphs in length.

Instrumentation: Detail the instrument you will use (survey, interviews, etc.) to collect data. Provide a rationale (with citations) for why your chosen collection instrument is the best choice. If you are using a 3rd party recruitment firm or survey hosting site, explain what it is and how you will use its services. This section should be approximately 3 paragraphs in length.

The Validity and Reliability section contains a discussion of trustworthiness, including credibility, transferability, confirmability, and dependability. Strategies that will be used are described in step-by-step detail. Quant: The researcher who developed the instrument is identified, and a table is included with the validity and/or reliability data. Qual: Include the steps you will take to establish validity and reliability (triangulation of data). This section should be approximately 4 paragraphs in length.

The Data Collection section includes a detailed, step-by-step description of the process that will be employed to collect all data. Include a discussion of the procedures to maintain data securely, including the length of time the data will be stored, where the data will be stored, and how the data will be destroyed. This section should be approximately 2 pages in length.

The Analytical Methods section includes a step-by-step, detailed description of how the data analysis will be conducted. Provide the rationale for the data analysis process and support it with citations from scholarly sources. This section should be approximately 2 pages in length.

The Ethical Considerations section includes permission to gain access to participants/data, confidentiality, privacy, lack of coercion, informed consent, and possible conflict of interest. Refer to the Belmont Report. This section should be approximately 3 paragraphs in length.
