Final Exam Essay Prompt
A major goal of this course is to be able to trace the underlying principles of the Lifespan Developmental Perspective across the separate developmental periods (e.g., infancy, childhood, etc.) that we are discussing in detail. For part of your final exam, you will demonstrate your ability to complete this type of analysis in essay form.
Choose 2 of the 6 principles of lifespan developmental psychology.

Development is plastic.
For each principle
Provide a complete definition/explanation of what developmental psychologists mean by this
Use at least 3 examples (each from a different stage of development) to bolster your explanation and provide details. These examples may be personal experiences, experiences of others, experiences shared/portrayed in the media, and/or visualization (e.g., pictures, comics, etc.)
Your response to this prompt should:
Be written in complete sentences and paragraphs
Be at least 500 words in length.
Reflect your own thoughts and work. You are welcome to include outside sources, with proper attribution, but are not required to do so.
