Application of reading in service plan development

10 points
Advanced-level application. Student accurately applies concepts from the reading assignment in developing each section of the service plan. Goals and objectives are clearly written and reflect the course concepts.

7-9 points 
Intermediate-level application. Student is moderately successful at applying concepts from the reading assignment. Student understands goals vs. objectives. Deadlines/frequency or assignment of responsibility may be missing from objectives. Logical flow within goals/objectives is present.

4-6 points
Beginning-level application. Student needs improvement in applying concepts from the reading assignment. Student has a basic grasp of goals vs. objectives. Deadlines/frequency and assignment of responsibility for objectives are missing. Logical flow within goals/objectives needs some improvement.

0-3 points 
Application of concepts from the reading assignment is not evident. Student confuses goals vs. objectives. No logical flow within goals/objectives.

Application of video in problem statements and service plan development

10 points 
Advanced-level application. Student accurately applies information obtained from each segment of the corresponding video in developing the service plan. All of the written goals/objectives directly relate to the client’s stated needs and are fully addressed in the plan.

7-9 points 
Intermediate-level application. Student is moderately successful at applying information from the corresponding video. Some sections of the video need elaboration. All of the written goals/objectives relate to the client’s stated needs. One of the client’s needs isn’t addressed.

4-6 points 
Beginning-level application. Student’s application of the corresponding video needs improvement. Some sections of the video are unaddressed or need substantial elaboration. All of the written goals/objectives relate to the client’s stated needs. At least two of the client’s needs aren’t addressed.

0-3 points 
Application of information from the video is not evident or needs considerable improvement. Student lists goals/objectives that don’t relate to client’s stated needs. Most of the client’s needs are unaddressed.

Application of assignment instructions in service plan development

5 points 
Advanced level. Student accurately applies the assignment instructions. All sections of the service plan template are sufficiently addressed. Service plan template was used.

3-4 points 
Intermediate level. Student is moderately successful at applying the assignment instructions. One section of the service plan template is incomplete, needing elaboration. Service plan template was used.

1-2 points 
Beginning level. Student’s application of the assignment instructions needs considerable improvement. Two or more sections of the service plan template are incomplete or need substantial elaboration. Service plan template was used.

Application of the instructions is not evident. Submission does not use the required template.

Professionalism of submission

5 points 
Advanced. Submission has a professional appearance. It is well-organized and has a logical flow. No grammatical, punctuation, or spelling errors.

3-4 points 
Intermediate. Submission is moderately well-organized. Some issues with logical flow. Fewer than three grammatical, punctuation, or spelling errors.

1-2 points 
Beginner. Submission needs considerably better organization and a better logical flow. Difficult to follow. Fewer than five grammatical, punctuation, or spelling errors.

Submission is poorly organized. No logical flow. More than five grammatical, punctuation, or spelling errors.
