RE: Albert W. Dent and Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarships

To Whom it May Concern,

My name Hector Guerra and I would to express my genuine interest in the application process for the Albert W. Dent and Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarships. Currently, I am enrolled in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at Parker University in their Health Care Management MBA Program. Parker University is where I earned my two Bachelor’s degrees as well as my Doctorate. After being in private practice for the past four years I find myself looking to advance my career in a hospital setting. I have a profound detailed knowledge of hospital environments and it is where I would like to make such developments for the future of not only our children but the growing elderly population in this country. In addition, the increased presence of our military veterans that continue to return from foreign wars are in desperate need of appropriate health care treatment. And I would love to serve them in some capacity in the future.

My familiarity with hospitals goes back many years as both parents were nurses in and out of familiar to myself, for my father competed his fellowship in your anesthesia program several years ago. Although, my studies took me to Chiropractic medicine, I am well versed in traditional medicine. During the pursuit of my education I have worked in most every department in customary hospital settings since taking a position as ward clerk on a medical floor all those many years ago and now a physician myself. I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I have the ability to be compassionate but professional when dealing with patients. I possess outstanding problem solving skills and I will work to find a solution to any issues that arise within the department. I am a hard worker, dependable and I understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality at all times. I am confident that I would one of the finest applicants for these scholarships and that can I will become a valuable member of health care executives.
