The story I read was The Worn Path and it is about an elderly black woman on a journey through the pinewoods. What I liked about this character was her attitude it seemed like and showed that she was on a mission and didn’t let anything g stop her for example she was walking through the path and said ("Out of my way, all you fox, owls, beetles, jack rabbits, coons and wild animals! . . . Keep out from under these feet,). One of the conflicts in the story is the old lady had trouble walking through the path. The setting is a dark and rough path so it could change the mood of the character and the way she views her path. As the elderly black woman walks down the path she feels as if she sees things and feels things on her journey I feel that the adventure of walking on the path and it has its wonders and meaning were you never know what’s going to happen is exciting and that to me gives the story more meaning and a sense of urgency and a want to read motivation.
