This document shows steps on how to install e(fx)clipse in Eclipse, which is a set of plugins for developing JavaFX applications. 1. Launch Eclipse. Go to Help /Install New Software . You should then see the following window. Click Add … 2. Enter the name and location so that Eclipse can download it from website. Then OK .

Name: e(fx)clipse Location: http://download.eclipse.org/efxclipse/updates-relea sed/2.1.0/site 3. Back in the Install window, click the triangle below and then select e(fx)clipse – IDE . Click Next .

4. Click the triangle . You will see items to be installed. Click Next .

5. Check the bottom ( I accept …) and then Finish . You will then see the Installing Software window. 6. Next, click Yes to restart eclipse:

You are ready to start your assignment 2: 1. Launch Eclipse. Go to File /New /Other… Choose JavaFX Project . Click Next . Name your project. Then Finish .

2. You have created a JavaFX project. Delete these two files. 3. Copy four files (download from isidore) into .../ src/application on your computer.

In Eclipse, right-click on application and then click Refresh.

right -click on these two files and then Delete right -click on application and then click Refresh 4. After refresh it, you’ll see the four files. Right- click on project name and click Run as /Java Application to see what will happen. You can work on this assi gnment now.

After you complete this project, you can click butt ons and have fun!
