Quantitative Article Review

Using the Topical Reference List read 1 quantitative research study critically. Include the following elements in your paper.

  1. No Title: The APA reference for your article should be placed at the beginning of the review of each article. Do not write a creative title as you would use for an essay. Instead, what you might usually think of as the end reference should appear on the first line in APA format. Your instructor should be able to find the article and read it.

  2. Include discussions of these sections:

    1. Introduction – State the research problem the study presents and the reason for the study. Do not give your opinion at this point.

    2. Method – What method did the researcher use in the study? Include information on participants, materials and procedures used. Do not give your opinion at this point.

    3. Results – Report the analysis of the data. What were the results of the study? Do not give your opinion at this point.

    4. Discussion – This discussion is the researcher’s discussion of the research supporting or not supporting the hypothesis. Give the researchers opinions.

    5. Your discussion – Give a brief critique of the study. Here is where you get to give your opinion. Was the population too small? Did the researcher consider the replication of the study? Can the study be generalized to a broader population? Keep your discussion brief, limiting it to no more than a couple of paragraphs.
