Try to simplify your sentence structure. You may want to start a new sentence with the idea underlined. Is falling in the ditch an obstacle? Is there a better word for it?

To properly cite, add quotation marks around sentences that are word-for-word from a source and add an in-text citation. For example: “Quote in quotation marks” (Author’sLastName, Year, p.#). In your body paragraphs, you will support your claims about the significance of the story through your analysis of the literary elements in that story.
