Learning Team: Practice Operations Simulation & Analysis, Part 2

Purpose of Assignment


Part 2 of the simulation and analysis picks up where students left off in Week 3. As the previous part of the assignment, the individual members of the team will complete Modules 3 and 4 and use this to make and evaluate not only of these modules but also the performance of the members over the 4 completed modules. By defending the choice of which team member or members’ simulation to promote as the most correct, the members of the team must cooperate, challenge, and collaborate to reach their final decisions.

Comments:

All Learning Team members complete the Practice Operations simulation Modules 3 & 4 and include screen shots of their results for the assignment. The results are shared among the Learning Team members.

 

The Learning Team members summarize the results of the members’ performance on the simulation.

The Learning Team includes a discussion of the major decision points made by each team member in the modules of the simulation and the effect this had on their performance in the module.

The Learning Team explains how forecasting and S&OP concepts applied to the simulation.

The Learning Team explains how the Theory of Constraints applied to the simulation and affected the members’ decision making.

The Learning Team evaluates the team members’ results on the simulation modules including the strategy selected for bidding on contracts and explains which factor was most important: revenue, material, due date, or quality. Also explain how the team decided which the priority was.


Defend the best options for performance based on the results of Module 3 & 4 among the team members and explain why these were the most efficient and effective.

The assignment is 1,400 words in length.
