Review of the LiteratureThis is the main section – the review of literature. Focus on your study articles, and reinforce with your other supporting articles. The focus should be on primary research – the work done and reported on by researchers in article publications (not reviews of the literature written by others). This section provides a synthesis and analysis of the literature, which leads to your conclusions. You are NOT simply summarizing the findings of each research piece that you read.
SubheadingOrganize the literature review with subheadings if appropriate.
AnalysisAnalyze the different perspectives from the literature (compare and contrast). Opine these issues and discuss their implications. In other words, why does it matter?
ConclusionsState your conclusions from your literature review.
Demographic Data for the Proposed Project
The demographics section is comprised of three subsections: Demographic Data, Target Group, Baseline Data. Answer the questions for each subsection below in a paragraph. Based on the feedback you received during the discussion board in week two, include your text here in a narrative format (paragraphs with flow and development between them, not a bulleted list).
Demographic Data
Where/what is the research site?
Who is directly involved?
What statistics will give a clear understanding of the context and culture of the research site?
Target Group
Who are the students you are trying to impact?
How do you think this strategy or content focus will benefit the target group?
Baseline Data
What are the baseline data that support your choice for this area of focus?
What patterns or trends do you see in the data?
What is your proof that an issue exists in this focus area?
Proposed Action
In this section, take the material you wrote for week 3 on the possible solutions for your project and place the strategy/strategies that you chose to implement here. You may cut and paste from the revised version of your paper from week 3 to create this section. Be sure it is a strong narrative description of your intended plan for action and that you are clearly articulating the plan that you have to implement these strategies in practice (provide the steps or process that you plan to go through as you implement your idea – what exactly will you do?).
Data Collection and Analysis Methods
Here you will describe how you plan to collect and analyze your data using research methods appropriate to your question and data sources. You can include any specific tools that you want to use in the appendices of this paper. Using the work that you have developed in week four, include the necessary information here about your intended data sources.
For analysis, include your thoughts about how you might analyze that data that you developed during the discussion board in week 4. Be sure to include two to five possible themes that you expect to emerge from the data that you would collect. Remember that these are thoughts about where you might end up at the end of the work based on the experiences of others and your familiarity with your context and professional experiences.
Ideas for Sharing Findings
Here is a place for you to write about the various ideas that you have for how you might share this research with others. This might be something you choose to share with colleagues at your school PLC, a presentation at a professional development session, a school board meeting, etc. You can use the ideas that you started to generate during week 5’s discussion board.
