Module 1 Assignment 2

Overview of RAs

The factors leading up to explosive situations can often be identified in a risk assessment. While law enforcement often acts as a reactive force to a problem situation, an important aspect of forensic psychology is proactive responses through risk assessments.

In this course, two assignments—RA 1 and RA 2—make up 50% of your total class grade. These are due in Modules 3 and 5.

As part of the two RAs, you will assume the role of a forensic psychology professional in order to better understand how your proactive role and function can serve to diffuse a potentially explosive situation for a large corporate business. You will conduct a risk assessment on an errant employee in order to understand what factors may influence how people react in stressful situations. Risk assessment is an important aspect of a forensic psychology professional's job.
