NAEYC (Standard 1) Relationships: The Program promotes positive relationships among all children and adults. They feel welcome when they visit the program.

-I have 15 years of experience working with young children and their families. I have built some long-lasting relationships and I still get visits from children that I taught 8 years ago.

-I focus on helping the families understand how their children are doing in class and where they are developmentally.

-I greet every child and every parent as they walk into the center.

NAEYC (Standard 3) Teaching: The children are carefully supervised, indoor and outdoor activities are arranged for each classroom, and the children’s work is displayed in the classroom at their eye-level.

-I carefully keep an eye on my children at all times, I use an hourly ratio sheet to help keep track of who is in my classroom.

-The schedule is set up so that I take my children outside at least two times a day (weather permitted).

-My walls are covered with art work and pictures of the children. This is done so that the parents can see what their children are doing and learning and so that the children can reflect on their learning.

NAEYC (Standard 6) Teachers: The teaching staff is educated and well qualified in early childhood development. The program continues staff development and training.

-I am continuing my education in Early Childhood Education Administration, I currently have a Child Development Associates (CDA) credential, I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I have a Silver Director’s Credential.

Dear KCLC Director,

I am excited to apply for the Assistant Director position with KinderCare Learning Center, which I located on Indeed.com. It would be my pleasure to join such a great organization and become a part of something so great for our children. I believe that with my experience and my knowledge I would make a great team member for your organization.

In 2018, I will complete my Bachelors of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education Administration from Ashford University. In 2008, I earned my Child Development Associates Credential and in 2017 I earned my Silver Director’s Credential. Not only do I have education, but I also have 15 years of experience working closely with children of all ages. I have grown close with all my children and their families throughout many years.

As an Assistant Director, I know that I would be responsible for assisting the Center Director in leading the teaching staff and supporting the families as I have before. As a team, I would cultivate positive relationships with the families, teachers, state licensing authorities, and corporate partners. I also understand that I may need to serve in various roles throughout the center as needed. I believe that I would be qualified for this position because I have over the two years of early childhood education experience required, I am CPR and First Aid Certified, and I have a love for the children and a strong desire to make a difference in their lives every day.

I would very much like to discuss opportunities with KinderCare Learning Center. To schedule an interview, please call me at (580)574-4338. The best time to reach me is between 8:00am and 6:00pm, but you can leave a voice message at any time, and I will return your call.

Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I look forward to talking with you.

Sincerely,

Mary Arterberry
