Theology

I did my research about prayer in Christianity, trying to find out how and why they pray. As a Muslim we pray five times a day which prophet Mohammed taught us. As my research goes further I found out many similarities between the two religions as well as differences. I visited “Light the Way Church”, it was my first time to be in Church. I saw how they pray and the people’s reaction to prayer. I asked people from different religions, why do you pray? and all of them agreed that it brings them comfort, and it’s very important in their lives. Since Moralistic therapeutic deism is common belief among millennials this paper will provide proofs, against this using Christians practices.

The Christian religion is not just about feeling good, it is deeper, even in the topics of prayer, worship and laws it’s clear that there’s more too Christianity than moralistic therapeutic deism.

Outline:

This first point is defining the moralistic therapeutic deism. The second main point is proving that worship is not just about making the individual feel good when they attend church on Sundays. The third point is Prayer and how it can strike down a person’s ego. The last point would be the laws and rules that are taught in Christianity and how the laws are put in place that are better for the individual, community and the world.
