  • Fully addresses all 3 readings.

  • Displays clear development of ideas and concepts.

  • Assertions are well reasoned and supported.

  • Adequately addresses at least 1 other question.

  • Includes original and insightful observations and ideas.

  • Contains at least 600 words (not including quotes); any paper less than the required word count may be reduced by a letter grade or more.

Structure and Use of Resources

0 to 25 points

  • Flow of thought and discussion is logical and organized well.

  • Transitions between points are smooth and clear.

  • Conclusions flow reasonably from discussion.

  • Resources are properly indicated where quoted or paraphrased.

  • All resources are properly cited whether quoted or not.

  • If Scripture is appropriate, it is correctly handled (literary and historical context supplied, interpretation and application defended).

Grammar and Mechanics

  • Proper grammar is employed.

  • Sentences are clear and concise with proper punctuation.

  • Correct spelling is used.

Format
