Vocabulary enhancement with terms used in safety and injury prevention. Producing a set of terms with definition and meanings

Teaching statistical methods such that one may use to keep track of casualties in the event of an emergency

Presenting images depicting different accidents so that the learners may be able to identify the cause of an accident by viewing the damages and the injuries

Practice the first aid body positions e.g. how you would put a person who has fainted in recovery position

Learners will be grouped to come up with a song which will reach out to the youth to stay safe.

Students will be taught appropriate socializing skills to interact with others in the event they might need to obtain information concerning an accident

Students will be asked to write about a goal that they are yet to achieve or that they have achieved

Improve communication skills in the event one needs to communicate an emergency by going over the do’s and don’ts

Learning record keeping techniques to help keep track of important drugs and emergency care equipment such that no mix up is recorded.

Presenting to them images depicting the various first aid steps so as to make them be well versed in the first aid steps

Demonstrate cpr and resuscitation methods for learners to understand what they entail

The appropriate melody beats will be applied to match the lyrics. Students will be asked to select appropriate melody beats.

Linguistics will also be incorporated here to help with the correct choice of vocabulary to use when talking to others to prevent offending others

Students will be asked to develop short term goals on the field of injury and safety, a period of a month or so

Teaching the basics of other local languages i.e. emergency related terms so that one may be prepared in the event of language barrier

Calculation skills such as mortality and other numbers can be used to establish accident prone areas and distinguish them from areas that are less accident prone areas hence appropriate measure can be enacted

Assessment in which the learners demonstrate what they have learnt and are graded appropriately

Students will then be required to respond to each other’s songs stating what they are lacking and so on.

Coordination skills will also be taught by dividing the students into groups and have them give each other roles in the event of an accident, the team whose roles are evenly spaced out have the most people skills

Discussions will ensue later evaluating whether the goals were achieved or not, etc.
