Technology:

Smartphones and mobile technologies are developing. it is very clear that apps take a huge part of our daily lives, almost everything could be done by this amazing development. there are many applications that ease our way of living, however, there is a need for something to spoil our lovely pets. The development of this application started when Joshua Viner a co-founder of wag! Was missing his childhood pet. Joshua thought of obtaining a dog for himself however, it is very to take care of a dog given the busy lifestyle that Joshua lives. His friends and family convinced him that it would be somewhat impossible for him to own a dog due to the difficulty of it. Since he has a vast background on building consumer tech companies, he founded wag! He was passionate about easing dog ownership for busy people, and yet he made it.

Wag! Is an on-demand dog walking service that connects dog owners with nearby trusted dog lovers. It also uses a live gps tracking system that a dog owner could use to know where their dog is being walked.

-Our application is a user-friendly app in which our customers would not have any difficulty on using the services that we provide.

Egocentric to allocentric:

Business owners and ceos think that in order to become successful they have to kill their competition. Egocentric is about caring about your own behalf not caring about others. on the other hand, allocentrism is about thinking of everyone else, allocentrism is a personality trait that means thinking about others. in order for a company to succeed other must too. Think about apple, they partnered with many of their own enemies and from that they became the best on what they do.

Wag! Uses an allocentric business model, they partnered with many other companies in their field not because they are better but because they can help them achieve their own goal. Wag’s business is based on the success of others. they partnered up with a smart lock company to securely place door keys. Since, wag uses a live gps system they decided to partner with whistle to use their products for the benefit of wag. The founders of the company did not stop there, they went an extra mile by partnering up with pawpack and max bone, this gives them an advantage over other dog walking providers.

-since all other companies and partners play a huge part on providing our services.

- the main goal is to make pet ownership easier and it can only be achieved by the help and success of our partners.

Current Orchestration:

1. August: The August digital keyless door locks and doorbell cam allow you to remotely provide access to your home to anyone.


Wag! provides free lock boxes to securely store your key somewhere accessible to your walker, allowing her/him to safely gain access to your home. You can also facilitate the access/key exchange yourself, or you can leave special instructions for the walker in the app if you have a preferred method of entry.


2. Whistle: Whistle GPS Pet Tracker is a sleek on-collar device that provides real-time GPS tracking, so you can locate your pet at any time.


3. PawPack: Monthly subscription goodie box for dogs and cats, full of surprise healthy treats and fun toys. However, they don’t have any move yet.


4. Max-Bone: Max-Bone is a sophisticated brand for the dog lover, born from by the desire for a simple and chic lifestyle for the entire family. Currently, they only have a collaboration on pet products.


Suggestions:

1. Orchestrate with local pet shop

Wag! currently partner with August to let dog walkers get into customer’s home so they can have the dog when customers are not home. However, some people may still concern about the security. We suggest that Wag partner with local pet shops to allow customers drop off their dogs so dog walkers can simply pick up dogs from pet shops without entering customer’s home. Meanwhile, pet shops could be benefit from the increase of visitors.


2. Orchestrate with Insurance company

Wag! is committed to creating a community dog owners trust. Your home is protected up to $1,000,000 when you book a Wag! dog walking, or sitting service. The insurance cost could be a large number for Wag! as the number of customers increases. Thus, we suggest Wag! partner with Insurance company. Instead of looking for discount for the insurance fee, Wag! should provide coupon or one time free dog-walking service for those who bought house insurance from the partnered insurance company. The partnership can not only benefit the insurance company, but also increase the user of Wag!.


3. Orchestrate with Live Streaming Video Platform

Wag! currently provides GPS Pet Tracker so that customers can track their pet at any time to ensure the service quality. We suggest Wag! partner with live streaming video platform like Twitch and Youtube to provide live streaming video to their customers so that they can see their pets through live video. It will improve the user experience of Wag!, and a good advertisement for Wag! since the video is public on internet. Meanwhile, the video platform can enjoy the increasing user from Wag!.

When global economics goes down, unemployment rate will increase. People will not have money to keep a pet in their home. And no one will use Wag.

When macroeconomics changes, the policy, the tax, and the protect for the local policy will be change.
