The Project Selection and Estimating Technique paper determines the students’ knowledge in what factors are looked at when a company is deciding what projects they should work on and the various factors they look at to determine if the project has a high enough priority to complete the project. There are several types of estimating methods used to determine what the cost and timeline will be to complete a project. The students will read about various methods that organizations can use to determine the estimates. Students should explain in their own words the difference between top-down and bottom-up estimating methods and when each should be used. There are also various types of costs associated with the project and the student should explain what the different costs that are present in projects.
