What struck you as you explore the course material this week?

During this course, so far, I have learned how much women had to struggle to gain their freedom and their independence. The thought of someone telling you that you are not allowed an education, but instead you had to be domestic sphere is hard for me to comprehend. The things that we take for granted today such as education, the right to vote, and equality amount men are the very same things that men and women from the 1800th century struggled to gain so they could pave the way for today’s generation. I have known of women and African American not being able to vote, but this week reading has already given me a more in-depth learning of their struggles during the 1800th century.

Do you have any helpful tips you have picked up in this course or a past course?

One helpful tip I have found during my previous classes is not to feel intimidated to reach out to your instructor and asked for help. I used to feel this way when I first started here at Ashford, and instead of asking for help when I didn't understand what to do I just submit what believed what the correct work and in doing so I received very low grades. I don't know if anyone is interested in knowing that or it is a helpful tip. However, I thought I should share it with the class.
