Introduction

In the present times, there has been an increase in competition within the market and companies have entered into real competition while others are expanding to provide more products and services for purposes of becoming more competitive in the ever-competitive market (Mckeown, 2014). In the present market environment, businesses have entered into the process of looking for extra innovative ideas as well as products that could help the organization to be more profitable, cost efficient, and productive in a quest to satisfy their stakeholders (Lombardo, 2015). As such, the purpose of this paper will be to bring to light a new Walmart division whose main purpose will be to implement an innovative and a new technique to the process of providing different products as well as services to its customers (Lombardo, 2015).

The main aim of the division to be introduced will be to address the customer needs for purposes of achieving the organizations competitive advantages over its market competitors. Additionally, the paper will give a description of a vision as well as a business model that would clearly demonstrate what the organization would be in the future. Additionally, the paper will give a summary of how the new division comes up with strategic divisions based on its vision, mission, and values. Finally, the paper will offer a definition of the guiding principles as well as the values under the framework of culture, social responsibility, and ethics.

Propose a new product or service for the new company division. The division should be customer-focused with an innovative mission statement. Ensure that you are differentiating your product or service

It is important to note that the cost of engaging in business has been increasing with increases in the required medical insurance by the government, the minimum wage increases by the employees and the competitiveness in the markets that pushes businesses to up their game (Lombardo, 2015). As a result of this, the management of Walmart has decided to look for an extra innovation within its operations for purposes of adding some value to its businesses as well as helping the organization to progress in meeting both its mission and vision statements. Through out the years, the company has been planning to expand its fast food restaurants that it has been currently operating (Mckeown, 2014).

As such, the organization is planning to expand its menu for purposes of selling various pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and salad with its stores. Additionally, it is important to note that the best thing that is associated with this new company venture will be that of having a robot managing the food production area. As such, employing a robotic manager will end up making the organization to save money that will be put in other company operations (Lombardo, 2015). The introduction of the robot in the operations of the company will make the organization to make tremendous differences in the market that it serves. The move will make the customers loyal to the company, as it will bring a lot of efficiencies and effectiveness in the operations of the organization by improving their feeling towards the organization (Mckeown, 2014). Additionally, the innovation will lead to an improvement in the payment services by introducing self-service machine that customers can instantly get served without necessarily queuing. The robot will also be connected with shopping application that will make the customer experience extra interesting as well as saving on time.

Describe how the division addresses customer needs and achieves competitive advantage

The new product that will be provided by the organization will offer its customers with shifting the focus on customer needs and not the business. In this, it is important to understand that whenever the customer needs are addressed, the business is more likely to attain competitive advantage over its competitors (Lombardo, 2015). The introduction of a robot in the operations of the organization will save the customer time as well as leading to an improvement in the efficiency of the organization. Additionally, connecting the robot with a mobile application will make product shipping efficient and appropriate to the customers.

Create a vision for this new division that clearly demonstrates your decision on what you want your business to become in the future

It has been said that perseverance conquers challenges and difficulties within an organization. As such, the vision of this organizational innovation is to incalculate contemporary technology in the operations of Walmart for purposes of enhancing its efficiency by offering better and faster ways of doing business (Lombardo, 2015). It will be the vision of the organization to make enquiries of how the customers are fairing as a way of making the company to stand out among its key competitors. However, the division of this division will be that of becoming the best in the production of the specific products that the organization will be producing and offering to the customers (Mckeown, 2014).

Additionally, the model of the new business division will be to focus on the process of creating a new avenue where customers will place an order and their products will be delivered to them safely and with no delays (Lombardo, 2015). Additionally, the application of the robotic services in the organization will cut down the cost of operations of the organization as well as meeting the demands of the customers. The divisions mission and vision statements aligns with what Walmart as an organization advocates for since it also involves the organization being well understood as the best in a retail business (Mckeown, 2014).

Value of the New Division

The division that will be introduced by the organization will benefit the restaurants of the organizations by cutting the operating costs of the organization. The installation fee of the robot that will be offered by the organization will cost an estimated $4250, and software annually fee will range from $1500 to $3000 per each system (Lombardo, 2015). When comparing with the process of hiring an individual, the cost of the adopting the system appears to be very cheap. Additionally, having a restaurant that offers freshly made as well as quality inexpensive foods would make the traffic of the company to increase tremendously (Mckeown, 2014). In this, it is important to understand that the longer the period of time that the shoppers are lingering in the store, the more the chances for its customers to purchase other merchandises that they were not intended to acquire from the shops.

Summarize how the vision, mission statement, and values guide the division's strategic direction

The mission, vision, and value statement of the program can be defined as a guideline in which the division of the organization will base its strategic planning for the sole purpose of guiding the direction of the company. In this, the strategic plan of the division is to streamline the process of food processing for purposes of continuing to make it more efficient by utilizing the robotic manager in the division (Lombardo, 2015). Again, to effectively figure out how the operations of the organization would capitalize on the new innovative technologies like the new robot that would help in processing different food products from scratch more effectively and efficiently than what a human can do. In this case, it is important to understand that the vision, mission, and the values of the division are made specifically to guide the direction that the division will take (Mckeown, 2014). Concerning the mission of the organization, the products that the organization creates being of high quality from the vision calls for the organization to offer the best products to its customers.

Additionally, it also leads the organization towards making sure that the production is cheap for purposes of enabling the organization to charge fair prices for the same. On the other hand, the vision of the division calls that the organization manages to be the best organization that offers high-quality products at prices that are considered to be low (Mckeown, 2014). As such, following this strategic direction would make the company to progress with its process of meeting the vision of providing the best restaurant that offers the best food and customer services to those who are served (Lombardo, 2015). Besides, the organization will continue to offer affordable as well as quality foods as well as helping its customers to achieve a better living. This therefore directs the division towards perfection, since it is only through it that it can manage to be the best in its operations. The values assists all persons within the division to remain focused towards the accomplishment of the goals that the division has.

Define guiding principles and values for your division; also consider values for culture, social responsibility, and ethics

Additionally, the division will also be operating under Walmart Company. For that specific reason therefore, those employees who will be working in this division will operate using the operational ethics as well as the values that are similar to those of Walmart Company. The social responsibility of the company and that of the division will be similar from the fact that the division will be operating from within the organization (Lombardo, 2015). As a result of this, the division will formulate its specific culture because it involves itself with various activities that Walmart as an organization does not get involved (Mckeown, 2014).

It is important to note that technology plays one of the most important roles in our ever changing culture, business social responsibility and the ethical behavior of a given organization. In this, for any company to be considered successful in any competitive business environment, it has to maximize in the emerging technologies that would make the organization to adopt innovation and be profitable at the same time (Lombardo, 2015). In the process, an organization is supposed to align its guiding principle with its cultures, ethics and social responsibility.

Culture

The cultural foundation of the new division in the organization is teamwork and customer services. In the operation of the division, it is important to understand that there is no use of the term “I” and it will be appropriate to understand that the customers are always right irrespective of their stand (Mckeown, 2014). The division will ensure that all the employees works together as a team for purposes of ensuring that it offers fresh quality products as well as meeting the needs of their customers effectively and appropriately (Lombardo, 2015). Additionally, there division will promote open door policy for purposes of allowing its workers to share their concern as well as their jobs at any given time.

Ethics

The operations of the division will be carried while making sure that all the operational policies are perfectly followed without neglecting or overseeing any of the policies. All the ethics attached to the employees will also be kept and no individual within the organization will be unfairly treated (Lombardo, 2015).

Social responsibility

The division will make sure that its operations do not affect the environment as well as the society in any way. Additionally, appropriate measures will be put into place to make sure that the operations of the organization do not affect the organization negatively in any way (Lombardo, 2015). All these will be done according to the set policies governing the operations of the organization.
