Introduction

Corporate team building refers to the process of achieving specific goals by having teams of dissimilar personalities working together as a team (Romand, 2016). This dynamic bonding leads to unique labouring techniques that enable the teams to manageable and productive. Organizing employees into teams enables them to work harmoniously and increases their problem-solving chances within a given time-frame (Lewis, 2015). Building a better team creates a vibrant and positive culture that understands their purpose in the organization. This improves profitability, customer retention and overall organizational objectives.

However, team building does not come easy. It requires personnel and companies that understand the purposes of the entire process (Cole, 2015). Therefore, different companies have come up with team building programs to help organizations to build great teams. For greater comprehension of such companies and the services they offer, I will focus on the TeamBonding Company.

TeamBonding Company

TeamBonding was founded in 1997 by David Goldstein, in Boston. It started as a simple team building company in Boston and later grew and stretched its services to other cities in U.S.A. The company’s slogans, ‘Harness the Power of Play’ and ‘Let’s take your team to the next level,’ helped it to build a definitive team building resource and brand itself as the leading company that: increases productivity and improves communication among teams (TeamBonding: Harness the power of play, 2017).

Since it was founded, the company continues to offer amazing team building programs. It capitalizes its focus on the fact that employees are less effective at work since they lose their abilities to have fun and open. Therefore, the power of play come in as a remedy to this situation. Its team building packages focus on improving principles gathered from existing human behaviours. This helps team-builders to centre their focus on specific teams, leading to tremendous improvements in their end results.

The company has an infrequent combination of workers including: cheerleaders, trainers, counsellors and therapists. These personnel expand immeasurable energy and grace among participants. Therefore many companies trust it with their most valuable assets. Apart from its combination of employees, the company offers more than 80 programs that can be fitted in different teams. Its program categories include: innovation lab, live-action and escape games, entertainment (music and comedy), CSR and charity, culinary, game shows, scavenger hunts, summer and holiday outings and corporate training among others (TeamBonding: Harness the power of play, 2017).

The program category that is interesting and has more to offer in terms of team building is the Innovation Lab Program.

Innovation Lab Program

As the programs name suggests, this program contains courses that burgeon more on liaison than contest. Its courses are tailored in a way that cooperation is the key to victory while competition leads to failure. Therefore, participants are really encouraged to work together to achieve success.

This program category has an interesting program known as The Game on Game Night. The program is anchored in the following expeditions: Fight the disease, Thwart the mastermind or Escape a certain disaster. The expedition on escaping certain disasters is the most engrossing and competitive. It makes teams to engage in brainstorming how to save people or escape from different scenario’s. Here, participants are grouped to achieve asset goal. For example, teams are put to task to find a way of saving a person from a burning building or work together to find a way out of a collapsing temple. These two scenarios require better thinking and greater team work to find solutions. The team that wins or finds solutions faster is awarded (TeamBonding: Harness the power of play, 2017).

This program is useful to participants and organizations as a whole. This is because it equips participants with the knowledge of how team-work helps to break barriers. This learnt lesson can be borrowed and used in a workplace scenario, thus improving productivity and problem-solving capabilities within an organization.

Why I would Purchase Courses from TeamBonding

My reasons as to why I would purchase the company’s courses and based on the company’s information of uniquely designed programs found in their portfolio.

To begin with, the company offers a wide array of programs grouped under dissimilar categories. The categories address various participants-preferences thus covering all sorts of teams. Here, different people can try out numerous courses and benefit from their diversity. They will also have a lot to try and learn. The programs will help in determining where they thrive more and where they need more training on. By partaking in these programs, they will have a clear understanding of team-work, its strengths and importance. This will improve team-bonding while avoiding employee bore-intention in workplaces.

Secondly, the presence of the company’s branches in different cities across the country, provides a sound reason for purchasing their courses. Companies like mine with various branches across the country would really employ the services of TeamBonding. Its presence in various locations provides a greater avenue for employees of the same firm to enjoy the same cooperate team building services in places near their workplace. They will learn the same things and participate in the same process thus improving productivity in their different stations of work.

Lastly, reviews from previous clients prove that the company’s courses are effective and fun. The reviews confirm the effectiveness of their programs and results. This manifest how the courses facilitate long term team building and foster genuine connections, deeper discussions and processing.

Customizing of other Training Courses

Despite its impressive coverage of numerous courses, the company can improve its services by customizing courses in the following two program categories: Entertainment and Culinary.

The entertainment course can be customized by giving the teams specific tasks to see how entertaining they can be. The customization should include things like: playing given instruments, singing different genres of songs and competing to hit high vocal ranges and coming up with own song compositions. This would make this course more competitive, interesting and fun.

On the other hand, the culinary course can be customized by asking teams to prepare cuisines from diverse cultures. This will help build the mental range of appreciation for diversity in the workplace. It will be a better program to encourage team-work through harnessing diversity (Cole, 2015).

Conclusion

This paper offers and in-depth analysis of TeamBonding company and uses its findings to showcase the importance of team building towards building an effective organizational workforce.
