The article discusses the added violence on top of the story whereby there is an early mission that requires torturing to get information from a suspect after the gangsters are manipulated by the FBI.

It discusses the impact of graphic video impacting innocent children and effecting their psychology together with showing abuse of human rights.

“Trevor Phillips, the torturer, is a psychopathic career criminal who savagely stamps a man to death within minutes of being introduced earlier on in the game. There is no small degree of dark comedy to his character, but it’s ultimately the pitch blackness of a moral vacuum.”

This is another article from another reliable source and researcher. It again discusses the violent scenes and impacts it has. The emphasis on this article is the impact on the children and how they copy things they see on video games and copy them in real life and creating a huge risk for themselves and their guardians.

“The graphics are so realistic that little ones don’t think what they’re watching is a game," she said. "Four to five-year-olds have a tendency to copy what they see on TV, whether it’s this or Fireman Sam putting out fires.

“ATL is not calling for a ban on these games, or censorship at all. What we are asking is for parents to become aware that the little ones are seeing these things.”

This is a rare article that has some sort of concrete research actually advocates and supports the idea that GTA V and other video games indeed promote violence. It discusses how these games make people less sensitive and kind and change the outlook of their personality gradually. Despite no concrete evidence linking it to the rise in crimes it definitely has an impact aggressive behavior, aggressive cognitions, and aggressive affect, and decreases in pro-social behavior, empathy, and sensitivity to aggression outline the article.

“Grand Theft Auto is well known for its violence which includes carjacking, gambling and killing. Last year Grand Theft Auto V was removed from the shelves of Australian stores Target and Kmart amid fears that the game glamorizes violence.
