Design Project
This logo is too close to the original IBM logo-- we are redesigning the logo, not creating an evolution.
Watch the Week 3 session for additional details on that.
Also, I do not see your analysis of the employee, customer, and shareholder response to this changed logo.
Feel free to revise and resubmit for a better grade. Contact me with any questions or concerns.
Important points to remember:
1. We are LOYAL to brand logos.
2. Companies and organizations KNOW that people become emotionally invested in "their logo/brand names".
3. How do they use images, color, design, font to help you REMEMBER the product/company?
4. Logos convey emotions and feelings to the people looking at them: Apple = reliable, Nike = fit, Disney = safe for my kids.....etc.

IBM Logo Re-design Assignment checklist:
1) Use Powerpoint (see etext Ch. 6) or Word document.
2) Use creativity, what we have learned about color, form, depth, movement, and Gestalt theory to design a NEW logo for IBM.
3) Be sure to discuss:
- IBM organizational values (if you use info from the cite...ACKNOWLEDGE your sources in some way)
- Audience perceptions (how will the employees, shareholders, clients respond; covered in live session and detailed in assignment instructions - see live lecture for details)
- At least 1 quote from the readings or an academic source (readings wk 1&2, etext, additional readings in wk 4 tab)
- Acknowledge ALL information used from other sources INCLUDING YOUR IMAGES (or you will be asked to revise and resubmit) -- you may simply state "images used on slide #__ obtained from Google images/Microsoft Clipart" or the website/source.
- Consider including a "Reference page" slide for clarity.
