Benchmark - Research

You will need all of those components for the last paper. This is why you are given two weeks to prepare for it (you have no Week Four assignment if you will notice). Everything comes together for the final paper - all six RESEARCH articles, the review of the qualitative research article (including method and results), the review of the quantitative research article (including method and results). The PICOT question, the PICOT breakdown, and a clear discussion of the evidence-based practice change being proposed.

Here is a good outline of what is expected of (or how to put together) the final paper, this is an announcement I usually post in the middle of week Four, but I can state it here since you asked.

Most of the papers are brought together into this way:

Title Page

part 1 - Title of the paper and Background on the topic

part 2 - PICOT statement/question, with breakdown of each element Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Time

part 3 - qualitative research critique - problem, method, results, ethical considerations

part 4 - quantitative research critique - problem, method, results, ethical considerations

part 5 - specific discussion of proposed EBP change
