Air Pollution in the United States

Research by Rafi Letzter (2017), shows that more than 125 million citizens in the United States live in counties which are air polluted. The report is one of the latest because it was released in April this year thus providing timely updates on air pollution in the United States. Pennsylvania, New York, Alabama, Ohio, Michigan, Alaska, are among the twenty-five cities which are experiencing the pollution of air. According to latest data, the United States is the second largest producer of carbon, and this only shows how the risk of continued air pollution is eminent (Schoen, 2017). There are different risks which come with air pollution, and they all affect the lives of citizens in negative ways. For example, the emission of carbon can lead to global warming. Global warming is known as one of the biggest threats to the survival of some living things as well as unpredictable climate. Polluted air is also known to cause health risks like asthma, shortened lifespans, and lung cancer.
