Media Analysis Project - Final Paper

MEDIA ANALYSIS PROJECT 3

Media Analysis Project

For my media analysis project, I would like to analyze the internet. The particular website being the company website of Kendra Scott Inc. I have developed much interest in the internet due to the revolution it has brought to the world. Personally looking at the work being an e-commerce website, I just like the easy navigation that it has based on the menu buttons.

Website development has evolved just after the introduction of the internet. Before that, it was difficult to learn about the happenings on the other side of the world, but now it is very easy to use the web to look at such information. It started way in the 1960s when the first Wide Area Network was introduced and highly embraced in early 1980 when the Local Area Network was introduced. After that enormous improvements were made including the manufacture of the best world browsers.

Looking at the website, it is obviously visible how the text, image and the Hyper Text Markup Language has been used to come up with the magnificent work. Thus it remains the responsibility of the designer to ensure that the website is updated with the latest, legal and legitimate information for the site visitors.

It is very easy to understand the website just like the other website because of the use of common symbols and words like “Home”, “Shop”, “Blog”, “Contact Us”, “About Us” and “Privacy Policy” which are the common understandable language used to navigate a website (UNESST , Ślęzak & FGIT, 2011).

Thus this website is so good unlike other company websites because with this; the company is able to monitor its customers, receive orders from their customers and fulfill them just from the website, unlike others of which, one must walk into the physical shop.

Being granted the permission to analyze the internet, I will look into the websites and unleash useful information that makes it a useful media of today and the future (Altheide & Schneider, 2013).
