Problem:

Observations of the CanGo management team revealed a need to focus on the way the company conducts their projects. The issue occurring is the company wanting to expand on business ventures prior to the established ones being fully operational without the current resources. This created conflict with allocating resources properly which in turn reflected a decrease in customer satisfaction during those times.

Recommendation:

Expanding the business is a difficult process and can create a number of challenges. CanGo must remember to not only ensure current projects producing revenue are maintained with the required resources, but to not take on projects that would potentially backfire by spreading resources too thin. Coach mentioned current staff needing to remain in their current positions to keep the business operational at satisfactory standards. As various members were brought up he explained why that particular individual needed to stay where they were, but offered a compromise as to some activities they could contribute to during future ventures. I recommend CanGo analyze the success of current projects verse the ones they wish to branch out to. Lisa mentioned not having financial means to bring in outside resources; if there are projects that are not producing enough revenue to satisfy needs then it may be discussed dropping the project to venture into a new one in hopes of producing more revenue. There is also the possibility of combining some projects that are aligned together such as selling books and adding e-books to the product list. The same resources can maintain that addition.
