Your final Course Project has 2 parts, as follows:

  1. A Paper (.DOC)
    - This must be 8-10 full pages of analysis not counting the Title and References pages.

  2. A PowerPoint Presentation (.PPT)
    - You must have a presentation of 8-12 slides of content, not counting the Title or References slides.
    - On at least seven (7) content slides include unique visual/graphical elements (graphs, images, graphical charts, and/or graphics) to enhance the slide content and support the presentation. (The presentation content slide background does not count as a visual/graphical element.)
    - NOTES - You should also use the presenter Notes to add additional context to your slides. See [u06s2] Unit 6 Study 2.

  • Create a MS-Word (.DOC) well organized document

  • Number of resources: Include a minimum of 7 resources (use at least 2 academic sources from Capella Library).

  • Length of paper: Write 8–10 double-spaced pages, not including Title page or References page.

  • Font and font size: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.

  • The paper must contain the following well-defined elements (use APA headings to identify):

    1. You must include the following sections (use APA headings to identify):
      (1) Executive Summary
      (2) Introduction = Identify the business you chose and describe the business and its industry.
      (3) Company Current Social Media Use = A description of all social media platforms currently deployed by the company.
      (4) Social Media Competitive Analysis = A summary of the company's and competitor social media sites using qualitative and quantitative measures (inspired by your work in your Unit 2 assignment).
      (5) Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) = Highlight the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) the company faces with regards to its Internet and Social Media strategies. Use the articles that you found to help support your analysis. Be careful to distinguish between your opinion and the voices of your academic resources. -- NOTE -- Please use sub-headings to clearly identify each area of analysis: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
      (6) Ethical Analysis = Describe an ethical issue, current or impending, that is related to social media use in your chosen company or industry and how the company should address it. (Do not re-use/re-submit any portions of the ethical issues analysis you completed previously for the Unit 5 assignment. This project requires that you identify new and different ethical issue(s).)
      (7) Conclusion (Recommendations) = Include your general impressions regarding the state of your company's social media presence. Identify specific recommendations (label via sub-headings) to help the company improve its social media capabilities. Also include a paragraph that describes an emerging area of concern or opportunity that you have identified, and why it merits further investigation.

    2. Each section (except Executive Summary and Introduction) should include anywhere from 3-5 paragraphs (500-900 words) of analysis. Please use sub-headings as needed to professionally organize the analysis. Format them per the APA manual, p.62. See also: http://www.sophia.org/tutorials/headings-subheadings.

    3. SWOT Analysis section must clearly identify (use sub-headings) the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.

    4. Conclusion (Recommendations) section must clearly list out and label each specific recommendation using sub-headings. Each recommendation should be easily identified, at a glance.

    5. The References page (last page of document) must include at least seven (7) different sources (2 of which must be academic sources from Capella Library) which you USE and CITE in APA format (in-text citations) somewhere in the paper. (See Chapter 6 of APA manual for proper in-text citations use. See Chapter 7 of APA manual for References page guidelines).

    6. Write in 3rd person.

    7. Use proper spelling, grammar, and sentence structure.

    8. Use proper APA style and formatting to cite all in-text citations and source references.
