Company Description

The company name is LinkedIn Company. This is a social media company which basically deals with creation as well as information sharing, it also deals with advertisement making as well as online marketing services. Just like any other social media company, for example, Facebook, Instagram and also the famous twitter, it provides a platform for the people to socialize among themselves. It involves online operation where one can be able to create and also build his or her profile and also access the various services offered by the company as I have mentioned above. The company basically is concerned with what is called business-social networking and therefore offers a platform for a more professional networking and also a socialization of the people. The company operations began in the year 2003 when I was established. There has been a consistent growth of the company realized in terms of customer base and therefore able to closely relate to twitter and the Instagram.

The Company Problem(s)

The company as we mentioned initially upon the establishment of the company, it has been in operation in providing a platform for the social networking in a professional manner. The consistent increase in the customer base of the company has also led to its competitive ability globally. As you know any profit oriented company will sometimes make high revenues, sometimes low and sometimes even losses. There has been an increased loss of the customer confidence over the company and therefore this has led to a reported increasing loss making over the recent period thus reduced revenue level. This may also have been brought about by the increased competition from the other social media platforms. The problem, therefore, seems to become rampant and in case the same is not addressed very fast, the company may be even faced out of the market soon or even sometimes later for that matter. Due to this factor, a research was conducted in a bid to provide various solutions to the problems leading to the revenue loss as identified. In general, the main problem is low quality of services offered by the company as compared to the competitors.

The Research Variable(s) for the Problem

The main aim of the research is to the identification of the various factors that may have contributed to the loss of the confidence of the customers, the reduced trust over the company by the customers and also the cause of the reduced level of the usage of the site for the purpose of social networking. Basically the analysis and also addressing if these factors will be able to enhance the company trust by the customers, will increase the customer base as well as enhance rebuilding of the investors’ confidence in the company. Therefore, in general, the demand for the company services will increase. The research findings based on the factors to be analyzed will also enhance the company planning as well as long-term performance strategies drafting in order to make a brighter future for the company. Therefore based on these issues the research variable is the reaction of the customers and also the investors in regard to the quality of the services offered by the company.

Research Data Collection Methods

In the process of data collection in regard to the research problem. The use of the various qualitative and quantitative statistical data collection methods can be applied depending on the data to be collected. In this case, the qualitative method is the most applicable since the nature of the data is qualitative in nature (Blumberg, Cooper, & Schindler, 2016).

The qualitative data collection method will be applied in the collection of data regarding the quality level of the various services offered by the company. That is the quality of the services in social networking, the reaction of the clients on how the company operations are run, as well as data on the suggestions that the subjects may give with regard to improving the company services quality for the need of enhancing the satisfaction of the customers. In this sense, therefore, surveys and interviews will be conducted.

Survey

The survey, in this case, will be conducted by the researcher getting into the field and collecting information that is first-hand information from the customers. The same can be online based where there is platform established and the customers are asked questions and then they respond (Quinlan, 2016). The questions in this context will be based on the quality of the services offered by LinkedIn Company and also they are asked to give a recommendation in regard to the issues under consideration. This online survey basically enhances a wide reach of the customers globally and in a wide range. In addition first –hand information collected from the field is of more importance since it’s very much reliable as far as research is concerned.

Interviews

The researcher conducts an interview with the interviewee either face to face or through online or also over the phone. The research basically notes down the key responses given by the client in regard to the questions he or she asked. The questions are basically tailored to the research problem. In our case, the questions will be based on the quality level of the services offered by the company, the operation of the social networking media as well as reasons why they may not prefer the company and also the suggestions on the same.

Verification and Also Justification On the Reliability and Validity of the Data Collected

Basically, the data collected for any research problem should be reliable and also valid. This is enhanced through justification and verification of the same. In this context, the validity and reliability of the data will be justified through collecting first-hand data from the subjects or the users of the site in the field and also creating a portal for the various users of the site with the various research intended questions to make sure only the user’s answer the questions (Sachdeva, 2015). The same will also be achieved by face to face interviews and also online interviews using the portal just like the surveys.

This will enhance reliability by ensuring the right clients provide the information and also the validity is also enhanced through making sure that correct questions are asked in regard to the problem under research to avoid unnecessary responses. The reliability and validity can also be enhanced through data analysis and also trend analysis (Quinlan, 2016). The trends and also the results of the analyzed data should be in line with the trend being realized by the company in a general manner. In the case of questionable results, the data is invalid and also reliability is doubted. The method applied, therefore, should be able to provide a measurable data in integration to the main variable being addressed. Then if out of topic as far as the research problem is concerned, then the method does not provide valid and reliable data.
