What’s Your Why?

Growing up my sister and I played school and I was always the teacher. My whole childhood and teenage years I loved being around children, so as I got older I knew that one day I would work hard to become a teacher. Even though I faced hard times and made bad choices I haven't given up on my dream. I am working full time and going to school to achieve my dream. When I was in high school I took a child development class where we worked hands on with pre-school aged children and it was a great experience. It's amazing how a child learns because they learn in their own unique way. It's a great feeling knowing that I helped a child learn and grow as a person and expand their minds to help them become better people and successful. I currently work in a nursing home as a CNA, and as much as I love my residents, deep down in my heart I know that I belong in a classroom.
