The industrial revolution was the period in which there was a shift from agrarian and handicraft economy to the new economy of industries and machine manufacturing. This process of revolution began in Britain in the 18th century and then spread faster to other parts of the world. The main features of this era were cultural, social economic and technological advancements. In technical, shifted to use of new primary material, steel and chief iron, the use of new sources of energy like coal, introduction of new machines like spinning jenny, new organization of workflow in their industries and finally significant advancements in infrastructure like in transportation and communication

It made a turning point in the earth's ecology and humanity's relation to the environment. Its adverse impacts were started to be felt in the 19th century. Machines replicated the human labor hence some people were left jobless, fossil fuel as a source of energy was replaced the wind, water and wood which was formerly used in manufacturing industries like the textile industry. As a result of this, there was pollution of the environment; smoke from these sectors polluted the air, water was contaminated by their improper disposal of fluid waste products like from their sewerages. During this period the human population grew faster which in turn lead to the competition for natural resources, it increased by approximately hundred percent.

From my research, the second industrial revolution was a set of technological events which took place in the years of between 1965 and 1914. There was some new intervention that was made since the first revolution took place. During this period modern industries began to exploit as many of the available natural resources as much as they can. New alloys, lighter metals, production of plastic materials and the use of some new energy sources became predominant in this era. There were developments of new tools, computers and some machines that helped to ease this kind of work performed in most industries.

This lead to automation of some services in industries since some commands were able to be programmed to the computer which will, in turn, perform this tasks automatically. In this era, ownership of production also changed. This gave a wider distribution of the property through the purchase of some stocks by individual or insurance companies (Huberman, M., 2017). Political powers also become predominant during this period, instead of laisse-failure governments moved into the social and economic realm which were aimed to meet the needs of the population. This time mainly gave its concern to the production of material energy, electricity, and chemical. This paved the way for many more advancements in the industrial revolution that followed.

The third industrial revolution came in place to ease the production process; manufacturing is now going digital. Third industrial revolution is a period we are now where some replicable technologies are being used like the use of robots or artificial intelligence in the line of production, notable three dimension printing, and the whole range of web-based services. Material made are becoming lighter, durable and vigorous replacing the old one, like carbon fiber is replacing aluminum in the production of airplanes and even bikes. New technologies are letting engineers shape to a sheer scale. Bandages are made to heal cuts, engines that run more efficiently are being made, and crockery is used to clean more quickly than before.

My research shows that collaborative manufacturing is the process by which teams can too work on the same requirements, models of function and same manufacturing process while having the flexibility of meeting the local demand (Ming et al., 2008). This process has reduced the increasing complexity of heavy machine production, integrated the new technology to production, planning, and strategies. This has significant benefits like; improved offline simulation and optimization of manufacturing plans, optimized manufacturing process, and design, and finally, use of artificial intelligence connected to product development.

The third industrial revolution is having the great impact on our lives. First people are becoming depended on this new way of the manufacturing process to make more capital; this is the primary source of living. This machines sometimes are prone to errors and many not work at some time making production difficult. Second capitalism will not vanish, people are depleting the available natural resources for their benefit not looking at the adverse effects they have on our brighter future. Finally, there is austerity which is not an option that should be tabled. The system of manufacturing should simple since most these systems will not quickly adjust to new oil dependent technologies. Therefore some good efforts should be put across to address any issues arising from third industrial revolution to ensure we have a healthy future.
