Decision making is important to the effectiveness of because it underlies all manager activity. Managers are faced with limited resources, competing demands, and a continuous stream of problems and opportunities. As a result, managers make decisions every day – and hence are often referred to as decision makers. Why is decision making considered a fundamental part of management effectiveness? What are the challenges managers’ faces when making these decisions?
