Amazon is an American company which is based in Washington and was founded by Jeff Bezos mid1994. It’s the largest giant internet retailer globally by market capitalization and total sales. Initially, amazon began as bookstore which used to contact its business online later it expanded its business and entered into the business of selling CDs, blue ray, video games jewelries, food, mp3 downloads, and toys.

The initial name of the company was Cadabra Inc and changed later to Amazon the reason for the name change was it was heard pronounced as Cadaver from his friend.

The current innovation of the Amazon company could be defined in the beginning as a bookstore but over a short period of time increased its business to sell more products such as jewelry, software’s, toys, furniture, televisions, Blu-ray, apparel, and most electronics such as computers, laptops, digital readers and other electronic accessories.

Amazon also offers products known as consumer electronics such as Kindle e-readers, Echo and fire tablets. There are several retail Amazon websites across the globe: United State, United Kingdom, Germany, and Mexico among others in the world. Amazon still offers services like international shipping of goods such as electronics from one country to another; this facilitates easy marketing of their products and a broader access to their customers. In 2016, Amazon launched language version for three countries; Turkey, Dutch and Polish. Amazon is the fourth most valuable company globally and listed number eight in the United States for best company to work for by their employees.

Amazon has made the partnership with other enterprises like DC comics, United States Postal Services and the UK Civil Aviation authority to name a few. The partnership between Amazon and United States Postal Services was finalized in November 2013. Amazon.com recently unveiled an agreement with the U.S. Postal Service to deliver packages in some markets on Sunday, the latest initiative by the e-commerce giant to be consumers’ first and final shopping destination. Amazon will deliver packages from its warehouses to Postal Service sites late Saturday or Sunday, and, under the terms of the deal, the agency will truck them to consumers’ doorsteps. Outside of some Sunday delivery during the Christmas holiday season, the deal marks the first broad Sunday delivery initiative for the Postal Service and could be a model for other retailers.

The plans can define the future innovation of the Amazon Company they have to grow their business to reach as many customers as possible. On June 15, 2017, Amazon.com announced it would acquire Whole Foods Market adding 400 physical stores to Amazon's e-commerce assets. The purchase was valued at $13.7 billion, and caused Whole Foods stock prices to soar after the announcement was made

The company also is in the process of entering into partnership with Nike company whereby the will selling their good through the Amazon website. Nike will be an additions to the list of companies currently in a partnership with Amazon; Sears Canada, Bebe Stores, Marks & Spencer, Mothercare, and Lacoste are a few. For a growing number of enterprise clients, including the UK merchants Marks & Spencer, Benefit Cosmetics' UK entity, edeals.com and Mothercare, Amazon provides a unified multichannel platform where a customer can interact with the retail website, standalone in-store terminals or phone-based customer service agents. In conclusion, Amazon has led to the innovation of new products like mobile phones, laptops, software and other products. All which have become primary necessity in our lives, in turn, has led to the creation of job opportunities whereby a lot of people have been employed from all over the world. These have resulted in a growth of our economy and also improved standards of living.
