Cleavon,

I am still excited about your ambitious program to impact teen pregnancy in the Latin community here in the US. Please look over my feedback and let me know if you have any questions.

Assignment-driven Criteria: Where is the evidence-based strategies that you are going to utilize in your program? What has been done successfully with this population thus far and which of those are you interested in pursuing for your own program?

Critical Thinking: Your goals and objectives need some revising. From the information listed on your work table, I think the following is your 'goal': Resolving the State of Teen pregnancy in the Latin Americans in the US but I would revise it a bit to make it SMART. Does 'resolve' mean reducing the numbers of teen pregnancies? By how much percent do you think it is reasonable to impact those numbers, 5% or 10%? In what time-frame are you going to show a measurable difference in the numbers of teen pregnancies, one year, two? Now that you have a goal, the objectives are the steps you are going to take to make sure you meet your goal. It seems that your stated goal is really an objective that will help you meet your goal of reducing teen pregnancy in your target population: To identify and measure the causes of Teen Pregnancy in Latin Americans in the US. Your activities will be how you measure your objectives, so you need to determine how you are going to identify then address the causes of teen pregnancy. This is not an easy process, but I am certain you can end up with a strong proposal for a program to deal with this huge issue.

Professionalism: For this assignment, we asked that you make your goals and objectives SMART and gave you a resource to help you understand what that meant. Yours aren't SMART at this point so I hope you will make sure you consider my feedback and revise as necessary so that your next SLP paper is thorough and complete.
