Introduction

Fig technologies intend to carry out research on gender and work-life balance in the present scenario to provide an overview of the project managers in two geographic area. This report will be analyzing demographics of gender in the workplace with regard to position, pay, and expectations. This report will focus on the pros and cons of supple timings and responsibilities, along with the provision of child and elder care at the workplace. At last, this report will find out the impact of the work-life balance on the organizational performance.

Analysis

There is much complexity in the demographics of gender-related to the position, pay, and expectation. The women must fulfill more responsibilities as compared to the male individuals. Because of which, the women are unable to give comparable working hours to their role in the workplace, and their experience does not necessarily grow up in a similar fashion. The workplace manager prefers the employees with more dedication and responsibility, which imposes a direct impact on the employee position and pay. As far as, both genders expect of taking enough salaries for improving their living standards. Women’s; have less focus towards work is not a stereotype. It happens in most cases, due to more responsibilities on the women like raising a child (Baumann, Hambrusch, & Neville, 2011).

Everything in the universe comes with its own profits, and losses so do flexible working hours. Flexible working hours provide an opportunity to the employee for managing his work as per his personal obligation. Employees can put more focus towards their work due to no other commitment in those timings, which allows them to enhance their productivity for the organization. Employees get a feeling of controlling the things in a personal manner and take up responsibility in a better way. Flexibility provides the break to the employees as per their body and mind needs, which saves them from stress (Shuttleworth, 2006). According to a research, the flexible working hours and responsibility tend to enhance employee productivity, lessen to absent, overtime hours and turnover of the employees. There are certain negatives of flexible working hours, too. The employees find it difficult to manage the things at the home because of their family tasks. The managers and other significant employees are not available at the same time to formalize their future planning. The employees can stay a task less due to no availability of the supervisor at their work timings.

Employees are the human fist with many responsibilities. Some responsibilities like an aging parent and small age children need their attention and care at maximum times. The employees are not able to focus completely on their tasks due to the presence of their stress in mind. The employer offering elder and childcare to the employees can bring multiple benefits for the organization. The employees can enhance their productivity with an increase in their attendance due to no tension of dependents in their mind. The employees do not distract from his work. The employees tend to feel the gratitude towards their employer and carry out his task more effectively. Employees confidently refer the employer to other employees, which ensures the retention and efficient recruitment at the workplace.

If the organization managers are enjoying a healthy work-life balance, then they will encourage their employees and team members for the same. If the employee does not take care of work-life balances before accepting the job offer then the benefits might fade away with respect to time (Isaacs, 2016). An employer can provide exercise facility, family outings by the company, childcare and old age care services, and flexible working hours to its employees for maintaining their work-life balance. The employer must provide consistency in their structure, engagement opportunities, Quiet space, team-building exercises, short breaks, and vacations to its employees for encouraging work-life balance. An employee with work-life balance will prove to be more effective for the organization due to no stress in the mind.

Conclusion

The difference in between the genders mostly depends upon the experience of employees. Women’s lacks in this regard from males due to their additional responsibilities. Flexible working hours and responsibility mainly depend on the working environment and employee motivation level. The organization can achieve maximum benefits by offering childcare, old age care service, and work-life balance to its employees.
