Here is a glimpse into what your career could look like with us!

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Dynamically! Fluid and purpose driven days that put you in the driver’s seat. Building, growing and maintaining profitable, long lasting and genuine relationships with CWB clients. No two days are the same.

  • Getting out of the office! We go find the best clients, not wait for them to come to us.

  • Proactively identifying and anticipating client and business’ needs to uncover opportunities to be crucial to their financial success. Developing strategies and scheduling for each account, while focusing on portfolio management, quality, exposure limits and security requirements.

  • Exercising and developing your financial knowledgebase – reading, learning and actively information seeking market data, lending strategies and products, industry activity and much more.

  • Applying your portfolio management, analytical and critical thinking skills in the technical underwriting functions that support your business activity.

  • Gaining exposure to a wide variety of clients in different industries that will build your skillset and keep your work compelling and changing.

  • Using customer insights to drive and guide your prioritization and handling of critical relationships, information and risk management.

  • Sharing your expertise of financial products with clients and your team – supporting their knowledge and participating in team meetings.

  • Participating in and getting excited about continual learning! This dynamic job calls for a life-long learner.

  • Spreading positive vibes and contributing to a team atmosphere you’re proud to be part of.

This career may be for you if:

  • You are all about people. Be it your clients or your team – you like communicating and connecting with others to provide solutions and build real, lasting relationships. You enjoy bringing in new clients to the Bank and growing your book of business, and being rewarded to do so.

  • You’re able to see the bigger picture. Your client focus allows you to anticipate clients’ need to go beyond expectations and drive opportunities to genuinely help others while growing business.

  • You are not afraid to learn – continuously and consistently through education and experience. You studied hard and earned your degree. Armed with your BComm, Finance or Accounting Degree you landed a job in the Financial Industry and have gained a at least three years of banking experience. You’re engaged in the local economy, analyzed financial statements, have been exposed to lending practices and now you want more! New challenges excite you and you’re eager to gain new experiences and perpetually build your network and portfolio of clients.

  • You’re a self-starter, independent and accountable. You’re ambitious and have a real interest in financial analysis, risk mitigation and finding creative solutions for building business.

  • You are energized when faced with ambiguity and can adjust your approach – with people and problems – to respond efficiently and effectively in changing conditions. This means juggling the many tasks, demands and competing priorities that arise in a day with a practiced ease and level head.

  • Being accountable and taking ownership of your actions and their results is something you pride yourself on.

  • You’re computer savvy – MS Word, Outlook and Excel are essential, and exposure to a lending or banking system would be ideal.

What you will get from us:

  • The opportunity to make a difference - our culture thrives on idea-sharing, collaboration and the ability to create impact.

  • Rewarding, enterprising and engaging atmosphere where you will be able to see your contributions at work.

  • Understanding balance: We know our people have places to go, people to see and good times to have when they’re not at work and we support that.

  • An award-winning benefits packages that includes 100% company-funded health coverage (dental, vision and prescriptions), health care spending account, a flexible wellness program and cwbalance day (extra day off with pay!).

  • Company ownership: Every employee has the opportunity to be an owner with our employee share purchase plan (ESPP).

  • The majority of our branches enjoy a Monday-Friday daytime schedule.

  • Our commitment to your success and development: On-going career conversations and personalized professional growth opportunities.

  • Competitive salary and pay for performance incentives.

  • Continual learning opportunities and professional development training to grow your talent and realize your aspirations and potential.
