1. Communication on Etiquette Training

Situation: Potential customers often visit your production facility before making purchase decisions.

You and the people who report to you in the sales department have received extensive training in etiquette issues because you frequently deal with high-profile clients. However, the rest of the workforce has not received such training, and you worry that someone might inadvertently say or do something that would offend one of these potential customers.

Task:

Write a three-five paragraph in house email to your general manager explaining why you think who might come in contact with customers should receive such training.

2. Out-of- house message

Situation: you work in the marketing and PR department and your company has asked you to promote a new and unknown committee (of the company’s) that works with people from the community. Your task Is to bring awareness to the committee and increase its public membership.

Task: write a persuasive/promotional out of house message to all those who visit your website to promote the committee and persuade the public to become members.

Due: End of Week 3

Assessment: One point for each item below for each message. Each message will be graded out of 5.
