Beneatha seems to be the more outspoken when it comes to standing for her family. When her brother Walter wants to spend their mother’s money on the liquor store, she is the one who reminds him that it was their mother money hence she could spend it however she wanted. This makes her the best candidate to bring out the unfairness of the situation in which Karl Lindner, as the representative of the white people from the new neighborhood, shows prominence in segregation by color when he suggested that the family should not move in due to tensions with the neighbors (Hansberry, 2002). In addition the fact that racial discrimination is still an issue in today society, there is an element of the modern application of art to life that comes into focus which was the inspiration behind the use of Beyoncé. The lack of color in the two picture pays homage to the fact that underneath everything, the human is equal hence the sarcasm of the message. It is clear that the meme also points out to the fact that there is defiance from the Youngers (Beneatha) a big demonstration of the plays reassertion of dignity and standing up against injustice and unfairness.

The play depicts the struggle of a mother to accept the death of her son while at the same time there is coming to terms with the fact that her son was gay. Andre (Green) died having no told his mother about his sexual preference with the fear that she would hate him and he would disappoint her. This is depicted in the meme with his two choices. There is what he wants which is something that looks like him despite the fact that choices have been laid in front of him that is different. At the same time, the mother is sure that her son would choose from what is laid in front of her and hence raises the question of the type between the choices available. Tshi shows the closed mindest of Katherine who is angry at her mother, Andre, and Cal for the fact that her child died and she didn’t know and or accept it. Cal (red) is representative of danger which is something that represents the struggle of going through the society where there is homophobia. Katherine’s mother (blue) is neutral in the fact that she accepts her grandson's life and his sexuality (Reinisch, 2006). However, the green in Andre is representative of life, a life he lived in fear and has lost. There is a question of acceptance definitive of rage and love that is the struggle (yellow) in Katherine.
