A Message to Our Customers about iPhone XR Battery and Performance

The performance of our Apple products is something we take very seriously. We strive to provide the most efficient and effective products to our customers. Back in September, we released our newest phone, the iPhone XR, the smartest and most advanced iPhone yet.

With the iPhone XR, we promised fast-charging capability with a longer battery life than any other iPhone. Recently, we have received a vast wave of complaints from our customers regarding the battery performance of our newest iPhone.

We have investigated these claims and can confirm that the iPhone XR contains a battery deficiency. We have found that while charging the iPhone XR, the battery takes an abnormal amount of time to fully charge and while off the charger, the iPhone XR’s battery life quickly diminishes. The frustration of our customers is understandable and we know that Apple as a company has let you down. We apologize. While addressing our customers’ concerns, we want to recognize their loyalty and regain the trust of anyone who may have doubted Apple’s intentions. To solve this situation we have decided to take the following steps:

Updates to Software and XR Battery

  • IOS.12.2.1: In response to these battery problems, Apple will be releasing a new software update. The update will effectively remove the bug that has affected the new release of the iPhone XR’s battery. This update will improve battery functions and reduce the frequency of unexpected shutdowns. It will also improve the power management during high activity use. With this update, the IOS will dynamically manage the maximum performance of the iPhone’s components when necessary to avoid random shutdowns. To fully ensure maximum battery and phone capabilities, it is still encouraged customers go to their local Apple store to have their battery replaced in the case the problem insists.

  • Redesigned battery: The XR battery has been reconfigured to live up to the promises that we made, with a longer battery life than any other iPhone as well as having fast-charging capabilities. The new battery was put through relentless testing to ensure that the problems our customers have been experiencing with their current iPhone XR’s will no longer be an issue.

How to Resolve Your Battery Issue

  • Bring your phone in for repair: Make an appointment at an Apple Store or one of our many Apple authorized service locations, we will  fix your iPhone XR during your visit. In more complex cases, we might need to send it to an Apple Repair Center. If we do, your iPhone  XR will be ready for pickup in 3-5 business days.

  • Update to IOS 12.2.1: Update your iPhone XR to the newest version of IOS software to see some improvement in battery productivity instantly. As noted before, this will not completely resolve every battery issue, but will help battery functionality to a degree.

  • Mail in Repair: Avoid waiting in line or for an appointment at the apple store. We can send you a box right away to collect your Iphone XR, and arrange a shipment to an apple repair center. We’ll replace your battery and deliver your Iphone XR back to you in 3-5 business days.

  • iCase: The newest Apple product will be offered at 50% of it’s retail price ($299) for anyone with a defective iPhone XR battery. Not only will this fix the issue(s) you are experiencing with your iPhone XR battery, but the iCase will eliminate having to charge your iPhone XR ever again.
