  • This book is primarily focused around the Concorde aircraft. It goes into detail of the design of swept aircraft as well as how this wing generates lift. The treatment of airflow is discussed as well as the means of generating lift. It describes the properties of slender aircraft and compares to properties of design of classical aircraft versus swept aircraft. It also goes into detail about propulsive forces and the properties in design of supersonic aircraft.

Dole, Charles E. Lewis, James E. Badick, Joseph R. Johnson, Brian A.. (2017). Flight Theory and Aerodynamics - A Practical Guide for Operational Safety (3rd Edition). John Wiley & Sons.

  • This book goes into detail about stalls in swept wing aircraft. It also details the stall patterns and compares straight wing aircraft versus swept wing aircraft stall characteristics. There is also detail on the effects of swept wings during subsonic flight and why straight wings are not beneficial for this type of flight.

Siouris, Spiridon & Qin, Ning. (2007). Study of the effects of wing sweep on the aerodynamic performance of a blended wing body aircraft. The Institution of Mechanical Engineers Part G-journal of Aerospace Engineering - PROC INST MECH ENG G-J A E. 221. 47-55. 10.1243/09544100JAERO93.

  • This engineering article describes the effects of wing sweep on aerodynamic performance. It goes into detail discussing how a blended wing body affects aerodynamics. There are numerical simulations describing the degree of wing sweep and how it affects the lift to drag ratio. This article also goes into detail of specific angles of attack needed to maintain lift with the blended body wing.

  • This NASA Technical Paper details the aerodynamics and geometric parameters of Delta Wings. It specifically focuses on lee-side flow characteristics, flat delta wings, thickness, camber and lift.
